MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Treatment Congregate Program
In the Treatment Congregate Program residents have a primary diagnosis of a psychiatric disability. The participants live with 8 - 9 other people. The residences are staffed 24 hours daily by trained staff. The participants receive training and assistance in activities of daily living such as shopping and cooking, money management, medication management, and rehabilitational activities. They are also trained in the use of community services and independent living skills. All participants are expected to complete 20 hours a week in some form of structured setting such as continuing day treatment, vocational training, supported employment, and/or schooling. Each participant is involved in creating their own Individual service Plan with the interdisciplinary team to help them to achieve their own goals and address any areas of need to aid them in increasing their level of independence. This plan and the participants' progress and needs are reviewed monthly by the team and quarterly with the participants. The emphasis of the program is to have the participants gain skills to aid them in functioning in their daily life and move toward independent living. Rent includes food, furnishings, maintenance and repairs, as well as other incidental expenses.
The program is funded by Medicaid and licensed by the Office of Mental Health
Dually Diagnosed Program
This program is a subset of the Treatment Congregate Program. The residents of this program have a primary diagnosis of a psychiatric disability with a secondary diagnosis of mental retardation. It is expected that the residents will require intensive care and rehabilitation intervention.
The program, through its staff and clinical services, ensures effective and timely responses to the specific disability of each participant. It is staffed 24 hours daily by trained staff. The staff ratio to individual is greater than that of the above noted Treatment Congregate Program due to greater needs of the participants. The program utilizes a psycho dynamic and behavioral approach to treatment which integrates staff members from various disciplines.
This program is funded by Medicaid and licensed by the Office of Mental Health.
